Do you want to get out of the city for the day and spend some time photographing the rich autumn leaves and gardenscapes in the magnificent Southern Highlands?

This all inclusive photography tour is designed to teach you everything about general photography AND ‘gardenscapes’ photography whilst being inspired during nature’s best time of the year – autumn!

Spend the day with a passionate professional photographer who will have you ‘out of auto’ and shooting like a pro in no time.

This ‘Autumn in the Southern Highlands’ Gardenscapes Photography Tour’ features three of the Southern highland’s most impressive gardens that are part of the ‘Open Gardens’ scheme and are only open once each year!! They will visually inspire you and have you clicking like crazy!

Our first garden will be Bibury, Burradoo. A heritage listed designed residence is the centre piece to this period styled 3 acre garden with a Mediterranean influence. We will then move onto The Copes Garden, Burradoo. This garden has two distinct styles. Classically structured with hedges and massed ground covers along with a contemporary blend of grasses, perennials and drystone walls – your camera will be in overdrive!

We will then break for lunch at a local cafe in Bowral {all included in the tour price.}

After lunch we will visit Greenbrier Park, Bowral. This large 3 ha garden has panoramic views. It features a haha, lake, ruin and rill plus extensive plantings of exotic trees within a backdrop of large Eucalypts. If we have time, we will try to squeeze in The Gould’s Garden, Bundanoon. This exquisitely refurbished town garden has expansive views, pleached Lindens, ponds, perennials and hedging.

You will be given personal, easy to understand photography tuition and information relevant to YOUR camera {yes, I study the workings of YOUR camera before the tour.}

For beginners – aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, composition, depth of field and many more aspects of photography will be explained to you ‘as we go’. You will take photos using each new technique before moving onto the next level.

If you are more of an advanced photographer, or would just like to ‘refresh’ your photography skills, you will be given photography challenges and information suitable to your level plus the opportunity to ask me specifically about any aspect of photography you like!

Please note: A moderate fitness level is required for this tour. We will be doing a lot of walking! You will be required to drive between each garden using your own transport.

DSLR cameras welcome.
