Sat 9th August 2014 – Tour time – 12.50 pm to 5.40pm – cost $99
Cockatoo Island is a photographers paradise. Lots of old ‘industrial style’ buildings, cranes, tunnels, sandstone prison cells – you name it – Cockatoo Island has it!!
The tour starts with a short ferry trip to the island from the King Street Wharf Darling Harbour.
You will be given personal, easy to understand photography tuition and information relevant to YOUR camera (yes, I study the workings of YOUR camera before the tour.)
Aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focus, composition, depth of field and many more aspects of photography will be explained to you ‘as we go’. You will take photos using each new technique before moving onto the next level.
The tour ends with a beverage of your choice (soft drink, wine or beer) at ‘Societe Overboard’ – my favourite cafe on the island before returning to the King Street wharf by ferry.
Please note: A moderate fitness level is required for this tour.
DSLR and compact cameras welcome.
